A princess of the Chu state, Mi Yue (Betty Sun) falls out of favor after her father’s death and gets evicted from the palace. After weathering many dangers and trials, she gets sent against her wishes to the Qin along with her sister Mi Shu (Liu Tao, Nirvana in Fire). Cruelly separated from her first love (Huang Xuan, The Imperial Doctress), Mi Yue becomes a concubine to King Huiwen (Alex Fong). Originally close as can be, the two sisters begin to grow apart after Mi Yue gives birth to a son. When the court descends into a succession struggle, Mi Yue and her son get banished to the far-away state of Yan. However, as the Qin falls into chaos and turmoil, Mi Yue will find a way to return in triumph to her rightful place.
