Having gone through many hardships together, Kang Yoo Jung (Hwang Jung Eum) and Ahn Do Hoon (Bae Soo Bin) can finally see better times ahead now that Do Hoon has passed the bar. On the same night he proposes, misfortune strikes. Do Hoon accidentally hits a woman and leaves her dead on the rainy road. Yoo Jung takes the blame for the hit-and-run and the very prosecutor who sends her to prison is Do Hoon. After serving her time, Yoo Jung reunites with Do Hoon, but their relationship must be kept a secret. The distance between her and Do Hoon grows wider and wider and in the end, betrayal may be all Yoo Jung gets in return for her unconditional love and sacrifices. Meanwhile, the victim’s reckless chaebol boyfriend Jo Min Hyuk (Ji Sung) persists in punishing Yoo Jung for the past. The more he follows and harasses Yoo Jung, however, the more he begins to fall for her – and the closer he gets to the truth.
